MCW- The Shah of Iran's P400 SV.

My next project will be Hasegawa's Lamborghini P400 SV. Whilst browsing through the P400 SV registry, one particular car caught my eye. It was chasis no.4870, especially commissioned for the (ex-) Shah of Iran. It is unique in that it is the only one painted in Lamborghini Blu Notte (Night Blue), it also has a unique blue leather interior and a Le Mans style fuel filler cap on the bonnet (hood). It has recently been restored and a link to this is in the registry text.

Here are some photos of the real car:

Here is my progrss so far, Scratchbuilding the Fuel filler opening.
I will of course be using Lamborghini BLU NOTTE paint from Model Colour Worx.

Thanks for looking,

Paul.

Looks good so far! Good luck on this one!
Will the cap be openable?

Looks good, well done with the fuel filler.

The photos of the real one appears to be one of the later models? that have the wider rear tyres and slightly deeper dished rear wheels, are you going to add wider tyres?

Re: MCW- The Shah of Iran's P400 SV.

Just a quick update,

Body has now been painted with lamborghini BLU NOTTE form Model Colour Worx then clearcoated with 2 pack Lacquer. The colour is really georgeous but these indoor photos don't do it justice.

The chasis and interior are also complete. I mixed up my own colour for the blue leather interior and added silver/grey flocking for the carpets and lower door panels.

Hope to finish soon and get some decent pics.

Cheers,

Paul.
