Bad Ebrake Design

Probably the only thing i dont like about driving my parent's cars is that the E-BRAKE GOES STRAIGHT THROUGH THE CUPHOLDER. i have NO IDEA why GM didnt fix this.

wat do u fellow Equinox owners think?

Re: Bad Ebrake Design

We don't have to use e-brake and it is always in the down position so it doesn't bother us.

For our other GM car which is a Pontiac Grand Prix, the e-brake is located next to hood release. Step it on (and step again to release) with left foot. I think in an emergency sitution, I'd prefer a hand-type.

I am suprised that e-brake is the only thing you dislike. How about the head rest (my wife's biggest complaint when she is in the passenger seat) or the antenna (it constantly shaking and I can't avoid noticing the osilitating movement)?

Re: Bad Ebrake Design

I have no idea why the foot brake was not used! I use it everytime I park all my vehicles and this deal about the cup holder is awful. The anntena I see the new ones (we have an 05 and a 06) so it must be the 07's come with the antena on the back roofline, so that was fixed. The other issue for me is the windshield washer sprays, its almost sad to see them spray. Having had an impala, blazer, and malibu, these washers are the saddest.
