A couple questions about 1997-1998 Silverado

Hi there. I have a couple questions about a 1997 or 1998 Silverado Extended Cab Z-71 shortbed 1500.

I was just curious if some of these came with a factory lift? Some of them kind of look like they are lifted an inch or two but I dont think it's an aftermarket lift. Is this something they did at the dealership upon request or is it an option from the factory? Or is it standard on the 1997-1998's? Something that they changed and didn't do in 1996?
You can tell that some are obviously higher than other trucks of similar specs.

Another question:

How many different variations of Black did these trucks come in?
Some black Silverados look different than others but usually all are just listed as black.

I know that there is Onyx Black, is there also another black?

One last question:

What is the name of the interior color that looks somewhat tan or creme?

Is there a GM website or something that lists all exterior and interior colors of different GM models?

I sure appreciate any responses. I tried googling for these answers but couldn't find much.

I ask these questions because I am thinking of buying a black Silverado soon and just wanted to do some research and pick one out.

Re: A couple questions about 1997-1998 Silverado

it is possible to do a front torsion bar lift 1-2 inch, maybe the previous owner did it. this technique is really only for looks. it actually will hurt the articulation of the front end w/ shock travel problems

Re: A couple questions about 1997-1998 Silverado

Tighten up the torsion bars to get a slight lift for the front. All trucks are diffrent some will go as much as 3" while others only get 1" or 2" in. If you decide to turn them up use a measuring tape from the ground through the center of the wheel to bottom of the fender. They don't always come up even. Tightning the torsion bars will result in a rougher ride quality.

My interior is "neutral" not "natural"
It's probably the 2500 series you see that look the same but higher.
research the consequences of screwing with your torsion.
I hate the stance of my truck but it rides like a car & I cant afford new
u joint & drivetrain parts
