OMG Never seen this one before!!! 96 CV 4.6
Tiggerabbi is my wife so all that replied to her thread know whats up... BUT!!,
after replacing the stupid intake step by step from www.autoclinix.com, I find the true leak under the thermostat housing in the actual head!!!!! A Small hole about the size of the head of a pin was streaming fluid as I put antifreeze in the thermo housing per directions from that site above... so now what ??? ... suggestions would be greatly appreciated and yes JB weld is my 1st option.... thnx in advance MYX |

Re: OMG Never seen this one before!!! 96 CV 4.6
They make radiator putty, wich is designed to fix a problem like that. I would chose this over the jb weld, cause if the jb weld comes loose it could get stuck in the cooling system and cause a restriction somwhere, wich can lead to a cracked engine block.

I would check with a machine shop describe exactly where it is and ask if you can drill a hole thread it and use a 1/4 inch pipe plug to stop the leak. Depending on clearance they make allen head set screws you can use. The big problem is thickness and making sure you got all of the problem area removed before threading.

Take the head to a machine shop and let them tell you what is the best fix. You need to know how bad the crack is.
