turbo difference?
how can you tell the differences in turbo models generaly.
does anyone here know how to measure the turbine side of the turbo. i have the gt2871r but i dont know if its a .64 or a .86?

if your looking for the turbine A/R it should be stamped on the side of the turbine housing. Its kinda hard to do it yourself and get accurate, but you might be able to get baseline. Check out this and try...

it has it stamped on the commpressor side( i think, the one that the intake is hooked up to). im trying to get the size for the othr side( where the exhaust manifold hooks up to.)

i have a HKS GT2835 its a .64
where did u get it from, it it used? if its new it should have a manual that telss u what it is.

it should be in the left or right side of the side of the turbine housing, usually on the smaller side of the t3 flange. If its used it might be hard to tell what it says because of rust, usually you can beadblast it clean and get all the info. The last turbo i sold looked like it said .58 A/R and after cleaning it ended up being a 1.58 A/R. Def something to look at.
