I really don't like the look of Focuses, including the SVT Focus, but the added power will be nice. Stock focuses are too slow.

but the fr200 cost like 300k... vs the svt, @ 18k...
and the svt looks better than that thing by a long shot... and with all the money you save, you could by six turbos to put on it...

actualy..

Cosworth didn't build the motor for the SVT Focus. It's just a worked-over zx3 engine with different pistons, variable intake timing on the camshaft, new catalyst system, dual stage intake manifold and a few other touches. it also has the Getrag 6-speed tranny.

If Cosworth would have had anything to do with this car, I'd actualy buy one. The Cosworth Focus concept car was definately worth making.

Unless Ford offers the SVT Focus with a turbo, or a dealership would be willing to sell me one with a turbo, different body kit, different wheels, etc, they won't get a second look from me.

to Justin:
You want to add the SVT Focus to your 'kill list'? Why? Is it even worth it? You drive a much better car. it doesn't seem worth the time to me. Anyone driving a Focus who wanted to race you would be wasting their time and yours. It's like when people in accords and civics try to race my Lightning. Why even bother? Geez.. some people's kids.. Oh well, maybe you can put them in their places...

Arrow Made by Cosworth?!?!

Well, if that's true, I want to see it, because NO, I don't believe it.

I'll give the SVT focus some credit. It's going to get some horsepower help to boost it up to 170 (I read that much of that would come from head porting/combustion chamber enhancements). It will be a competitor for many of Honda's VTEC cars. And the Focus looks like much more a serious competitor thatn some of the other challengers have proved to be. Ford is serious.
