Spectra Owners Group

Just bought a 2002 Spectra GS, and am enjoying the 1.8 liter 16 valve 127 HP 108 foot pounds of torque engine. I found out that the suspension was designed by Lotus.

If you have photos of your Spectra, Post them.

Here is a rear corner view of mine, with Hot Wheels decals in the windows.

I understand that the 1.8 liter engine in this car is a Mazda deriative. Has anyone checked to see if there are mazda parts for it?

Any members of Shark Racing around? How is the club?

These are pics of my Baby

This is a pic I took on I-75, I have had it up to 127 mph with a few rpms to spare, but you probably know that it isn't the most quiet car at high speeds

Don't everyone go post crazy on this thread or anything

Question Spoilers and Grills

Hello all,

I just purchased a 2003 Kia Spectra and want to add a Billet Grill and a Spoiler. I have seen the spoilers out there and I really don't like them much. I would really perfer one that stands about 4 inches off the trunk. I have been to just about every site out there looking for these two items and have had NO luck. I know they have to exist. There are alot of cars out there that look really non sporty and they seem to be able to find this stuff everywhere. Does anyone know where I might be able to look to find either of these two items. Any help would be great.

Loving my new Spectra

Tamara

I have seen one advertised on Ebay that is for the Spectra that looks better than the stock one. It is tough to find spoilers for these. You might ask on the forums at www.streetkiaz.com. My Spectra is a work in progress, besides Hot Wheels I am also going with a Carbon Fiber theme. Have Carbon Fiber 4 piece MOMO pedal set, real carbon fiber shift knob. I am carbon fibered my door handles and you can see from the photos, also carbon fibered the chrome above the grill.

Keep trying at www.streetkiaz.com. It is worth the weight if you have a Kia. You might also try www.fia-fx.com for aftermarket parts.
