94 Grand Am 2.3L SOHC with a miss

Hey, was just thinking, would a weak or failing altenator cause all the problems with an unfixable miss, or maybe the starter. Runs like a raped ape until it warms up to operating temp.

Re: 94 Grand Am 2.3L SOHC with a miss

check you CPS when its cold.
then test it when its warmed up.
Might want to test the cam sensor also to rule it out.

Heres a link with the testing procedures for your 2.3,
the cam shaft testing in on the right in the menu.
94 CPS testing
