92, Blower motor intermidiatly off and on

I have a 92 Lesabre and blower just goes on & off. It has the standard hvac. not ACC. I replaced resistor, relay, connector to resistor. still the same.
Today when i changed the resistor and connector i turned on the blower & vent button, turned key to on position-- Nothing!! then while i was scratching my head and staring at the blower it started up. . The engine was not on, no vibrations or movement on the car.
Some one please help before i go nuts .

Welcome to AF

The next time it does not come on, try bumping it with a hammer. If it comes on then, more than likely the blower motor brushes, or bearings are worn out and you need to replace the blower motor.

I had the exact same problem on my 92 and it was the blower motor itself. It drove me nuts until I replaced it (especially on cold mornings with frosted windows and no moving air to defrost it!)

An early legend, from back in the “good ole days” was that, Daniel Boon could stare a coon, down out of a tree!

You must have put a fearful stare on that blower motor
to keep it running this long! I also, think it would be wise to replace it.
