I am building a 32 Ford 3 window coupe, and am looking to lower it,and i was looking to Z the frame iv looked on a couple sites looking for how-to's on how to go about this and came up dry, i was wondering if any of you had any input on how to do this.

hmm not sure with the terminology you are using ... might do a search for doing it to a 1:1 scale rod .. then apply it to the model frame.

Re: How to Z a 32 Ford frame?

If by Z'ing you mean stepping the rear (or front) of the frame to get the car lower. It all depends on how much you want to step it by.
It its only the width of the frame find some styrene the same width as the frame.
Chop the frame at a point you determine to be right, glue the extra styrene to the top of the frame and the then glue the part removed (the part you want to step) on top of the extra styrene you added.
and adjust wheel base to suit.

Here's a crude drawning of what a z'd frame looks like from the side compared to the orig frame

I hope thats of some help.
Later, Troy
