How do I remove the T-case motor?

Just wondering if one of you fine gentlemen that have gone through this can tell me how you went about removing the encoder motor from the transfer case.

Btw: I have a 1995 4x4x4 LT.

Thanks

Re: How do I remove the T-case motor?

So if you go under the truck from the drivers side and look up its right there.
You need to take off the little skid plate. Its two nuts, I dont remember what size they are.

The motor itself is held on with 3 10mm screws. The one next to the drive shaft you have to use a wrench on.

After that there is one 8mm screw holding the electrical connector.

One of the little structural support ribs for the electrical connector will probaly break off. No big deal though.

If you are worried about breaking the rib you can get a yoke puller and deal with all that mess. I didnt feel like so I took off the one rib.
