2001 PT Cruiser Control Arm Bushings

Now i know what your thinking... BIG PIECE OF SHIT... why yes you thought correctly. Also that its not a DSM but you guys know more about anythign then any other group in this damn forum.

I have a 2001 PT Cruiser that failed inspection for lower control arm bushings. I have the car on the lift and i removed one side control arm bolt, its about ~8" and came out no problem. The other one spins in place only removed about 1/2". I'm confused as to how to get the control arm out, even if i were to buy a new control arm i still have to get the old one out. The bolt goes through the subframe into the body? I havent ripped out the carpet yet so im not sure how to go about it. Also i was going to remove the sway bar with teh control arm becuase i couldnt get pliers (vicegrips) in there so i broke 2 of the 4 bolts off in the subframe . they shouldnt be a problem.

any suggestions please.

Time for an EZ out. Just don't break it too.

If the bolt is broke off then you drill the EZ out into it and then back it out and it'll come out...

And just for the record. I did not move this thread, Mike.

Hmmm... Well if its just spinning in place then you need to almost get something on the back to push it out as you loosen it... Thats the only way I've ever known how to get a bolt out that just spins.
