I have a 99GTP but today I purchased a 93 Lumina today for 450 bucks and i have a ffew minor issues.... first the interior lights and door locks do not work if im not mistaken i believe they run on the same fuse so besides it being as simple as a bad fuse what else could be wrong...i dont plan on working on it til tomorrow and im sure ill find some more problems haha

there is a part called an alarm module, that operates the interior lights automatically when the doors are opened, as well as the warning chime when the keys/headlamps are in/on when the door is opened that could be the issue if the fuse(s) are ok. It's under the dash behind the glove box. GM part # is 10253233, dealer retail is $82.50 (ouch!).

When i start the car the lock automatically...when i hit the unlock button the light on the button goes out and comes on as i let go....wheni leave the lights on with keys out it chimes...and im going to check the fuse now

Ok i checked the fuses and they are good...car doors lock automatically when i put it in gear...no dome lights...when i try and use the door lock with the lights on it makes the backlightin on the unlock button go out along witht he dash and the door unlock button does not work...the car beeps when the keys left in the ignition

Sounds like a ground issue to me.

Neclue where to start troubleshooting???

The switches and actuators are on a reverse polarity system. It is a nightmare to troubleshoot. Unless you are an electrical wizard, I would suggest taking it somewhere.
