trouble starting?

i put a ls/vtec in my civic that worked fine before the motor came out of the car. now its back in and it wont crank over at all. i hooked up mostly everything, but one plug about the alternator, maybe 2 inches above and it looks like its like on the block. would that power the starter? im looost

and the battery is fine

no crank at all? make? model? year? what head on what block? ...................battery voltage reads? all fuses checked?
