Question Help 1997 Pontiac Sunfire...

Was riding down the highway with my foot on the pedal, but the car started slowing down, I pushed the pedal harder, but nothing. I pulled over and no sooner that I came to a complete stop, the car died. I have changed the cam shaft sensor, spark plugs (wires too), the coils, and if just won't kick over. Any ideas??? Please help

I rented one of the scanners and when I plugged it in, the only error was the cam shaft sensor, I fixed that, but it still doesn't work??
