Firstly I'd like to say that I have used this forum before for info and found everybody here really, really helpful in their answers to previous questions. Rather than be a lurker forever, I've joined. I hope I can help others in the future with problems that I've already solved.
Now for the problem - my '94 Concorde has been having problems with starting after filling up at a particular station. I figure he's watering his gas or not filtering it correctly. When she didn't start this morning I smelled gas under the car but not in the engine, so it led me to wanting to change the fuel filter.
The engine side line of the fuel filter came out just fine, but the tank side line is stuck, annoyingly.

The little black plastic gasket that is supposed to pull out (towards the filter) and release the line is not working right. As a result, the filter is stuck.
Has anybody got an idea how I can loosen it from the line without damaging the hose? If not, can I remove the hose and replace it?
Thanks for any help you can give.
