heater console bulb

91' c1500 no a/c.

The light (bulb) in my heater switch console went out this summer and I was getting around to replacing it this week. I pulled the unit from the dash and for the life of me i can't find a way to access the inside of the unit. Do I have to replace the entire slider switch console box to get the light back?

Has anyone replaced a bulb in one of these.

Also, now that I pulled it and put it back in, the lines seem to be pinched and the heater slider controls are very hard to move now. Is this just becuase I moved them or do the line to the vent doors need to be replaced..and are they replaceable.
