I am having a problem with a vibration when braking at certain speeds. Doesn't always seem to be in the front or back. I changed my rear drums and pads recently, thinking this was the problem. It didn't help. It seems if it was rotors, it would be at all speeds, but it seems to be worse around faster speeds when braking (55-70 m.p.h.). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: '89 Camaro Problem with vibration when braking at certain speeds! help!!!
Welcome to the forum.
Check the tires. Change a spare tire on to it and drive it , and check them one at a time all the way around until you find wich one it is (if any). If its not that check the tie rods, front end bushings, ect on the steering. Good luck. |

maybe you need your disks lathed, if they're warped or something they won't really run true, and that causes vibration.

Does it go to one side or the other when you brake? Rotors are probably warped, I had that with my 92.
