Oil leak

I have a 1999 Passat and oil seem to be leaking from around the area where the oil filter is any one know about any problems

I too have oil leak at filter housing after replacing oil cartridge for first time. There are 2 o rings The large one I understand. Where does the small o ring go?

Passats have problems with the cam seals and valve cover gaskets leaking on the 2.8 v6 engines. Its about an 1100.00 repair, or warranty if first owner and less that 100k miles!
