Exclamation Takes off!!

I have A 98 zx2. Yesterday i was driving down the interstate at 70 mph. I let off the gas and it was almost like the throttle was stuck but it was slightly accelerating. I don't have cruise control. After putting my foot on the brake and pulling up on the e brake it finally stopped. I am pretty good at working on vehicles and the throttle linkage and everything works smoothly. This is very dangerous and I need to get this fixed it could cause an accident. Also the computer does not throw up any codes. HELP!! THANX!!

Re: Takes off!!

My throttle would stick when driving but i could never get it to stick when I was under the hood. I just cleaned it and lubed it and it never did it again

Re: Takes off!!

This happened to me once, as well as in another car. Make sure that the bottom part of the accelerator pedal didn't get snagged by the floor mat.
