Odd fuel leak

I have a 68 Lemans that I just replaced the fuel pump and transmission pan gasked on - both were leaking.

Now, the fuel pump is fine, dry as a bone, but I have a mystery fuel leak dripping off of the bolts holding the transmission pan on. I know its not transmission fluid because thats brand new and nice and red, but this fluid thats dripping is clear/brown, like what you would expect to see in a gas tank thats been sittin for a few months.

I'm not a gear head by any means, but any ideas where to look?

Re: Odd fuel leak

Check the fuel lines. They run close to the transmission and you may have a small leak coming from one of these lines. Check the liquid to see if it smells like gasoline. If not you may have other problems such as a brake line leak. This could account for it looking brown/clear.
