Hey guys, I have been making models for about 4 years now, and I have never painted the bodies myself, whenever i try this, the primer is too thick, i do not have an airbrush so i use the can. When i primethe body the primer is really thick and covers up all the panel lines. So every model i make my friend paints it without primer sometimes it turns out good sometimes not so good, also im not that good at painting the body either i dont put enough paint or too much. It does not say anything in the FAQ about the primer being too thick, can anyone help me out.

I used Krylon sandable white primer for everything except the body of a kit...don't know what's happening to you COSMO, as it works just fine for me...
But I highly recommend it, it's only $2.50 or so for a 12 ounce can. Goes on a little thick though. For kit bodies I desire a smoother finish so I use either Tamiya white primer (make sure to use the white the grey is a coarser grain) or Mr. Surfacer 1000.. |
