My drivers side window on my 2005 chevy cavalier is stuck almost all the way down, it had given me trouble before but after playing with it it would go up , its been stuck since yesterday, the windows are power windows and the switch does make a clicking noise when I push it, all the other windows work fine. What to do?????????????????

Re: Help!!!!!
Could it possibly be off the track? Try holding the button and then push the window up with your hand.

Re: Help!!!!!
Its your power window motor.. they die quickly in these cars.. you will have to have it replaced..
And i wouldnt bother with a junk yard part as it will most likely be dead or dying.. I had my mechanic fix it for $225CND. Usually they will work, then start to get slow.. then sometimes they wont work or only work for a few secs then nothing.. and will work again after another few secs.. If you fix it yourself you can save a few bucks.. but its a pain in the ass, if you do it be sure to lube up the window track while you are in there. |
