Arrow The 1:25 scale DSM monster returns... again...

Hey guys, you may remember me, I'm build a model kit of a 2G Eclipse GSX and I had asked several of you for help as far as technicalities and pictures and such. I promised I'd keep you guys updated on it, so I'm back I realize this is probably my third thread on the subject, my apologies, but this will be the last one, I think it's in the correct spot now.

Anyway, in case you missed it the first time, here's the thread:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=593252

I changed my photobucket set up, so the pictures will most likely be red Xs, but I'll fill you in. Here's the link to the thread on this in the Model Car forum:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=598595

OK, here's what I've got so far (to those of you who've seen this before, there isn't tons of progress )

Slow Boy Racing tubular turbo manifold, made from solder.

Big turbo (I wanted to do a specific model turbo, but I decided to just stuff this thing in there and call it what I want).

Beginnings of Magnus Motorsports sheetmetal intake (more on this later...)

BIG Spearco bar and plate FMIC

Anodized cam gears, not sure which brand name...

NOS nitrous system, 2 bottles, 1 for the Fogger system and 1 for the IC cooler

Vented and drilled brake rotors, scratchbuilt coil overs

Valentine V1 radar detector

Building a Bomex body kit for it, but using the Blitz rear bumper

That's all for now, but if you'd like to see more check out my photobucket, everything is divided into sub folders and all the pictures ahve explanations of what's going on. Take a look opcorn:

Thanks for looking! Big thanks to Blackcrow64 for lots of reference pictures, very helpful!

Re: The 1:25 scale DSM monster returns... again...

Wow, thanks guys. Glad you like! Defiancy: AEM they shall be!

Even though I have 2 700mb CDs filled with pics (yikes!) I am still open to any reference you guys have. Let me know about pics you have of the engine from any wierd angles, specific parts I'm building, or of the interior. Specifically, I know I need a picture of an empty Eclipse glovebox. I'm going to leave the glovebox open and stick a PS2 Slim, contollers, and a copy of NFS Carbon in it

Thanks again!

Is this just a hobby of yours, or are the for sale?

Re: The 1:25 scale DSM monster returns... again...

Just a hobby, I build much too slowly to build for profit, and my skills aren't well-honed enough to compete with real pro builders. I'm kinda of the "Build for yourself" philosophy anyway...

Thanks for the comments, guys!

Re: The 1:25 scale DSM monster returns... again...

It's not terribly hard, it does help to have young eyes and steady hands tho. I'm not terribly patient, either. A lot of the time it's cut, measure, & cuss...

I do have other cars I'm working on, but I haven't finished anything in quite a while. From the home page of my photobucket, you can see the 69 Camaro SS convertible I built for my friend (exception to my philosophy, gifts to special people. She was happy), another 99 GSX, my 93 Civic, F&F Supra and some other stuff. The only other thing I'm working on right now is an Acura RSX that I haven't yet unveiled, but other than that not much is going on. I've opened every kit I've bought, though, right now I have about 20 unbuilt

Thanks guys

Re: The 1:25 scale DSM monster returns... again...

How much money is there in doing such a project as that? I would love to buy an exact 1:25th scale replica of my Talon...
