95 Aspire problem

I have a 95 Aspire with 110,000 miles on it. I had a problem with the engine missing badly a while back. It barely would run, although it started up fine . After it got warm, it would continue to run worse, until it would finally just quit. Ford dealer said it was the distributor, so they put a new one in. the car would run about 25 miles(until it warmed up), then quit. I finally towed it home, and figured out the distributor they put in was bad, so I installed one from advance auto. The car runs now, but when it gets good and warm, it has an intermittent miss. Sometimes it is a really bad miss, and other times it is not so bad. This doesn't happen every time it warms up, but it was much worse when the weather was warm. I'm thinking it may be the ignition module in the distributor. Any one have any suggestions.
