Re: 98-02 camaro request

Did this Toon awhile ago....
(It could use some touch-up work.)

And here's a 70 1/2 Z 28 that I just finished as a practice piece.

Re: 98-02 camaro request

Good stuff Blip, firebird why don't you draw one yourself and post it? Lol, that's how you get better, why not get better at drawing than at watching others draw xD

Re: 98-02 camaro request

Thanks Hono. I'm thinking that Firebird may be more of a fan and just wants
to see how we each differently answer this request.

But if there's any interest in drawing on your own Firebird,
do like Hono suggested and post up something.

Re: 98-02 camaro request

Haha, Blip can't figure out that my nickname is an abbreviation and the last letter is a U not an O

Stick around, learn from people who have been doing it for a while. Lemmoris is someone you'll definently want to talk to, he's been around here a while and does some great stuff. Otherwise, just start with what you know and work from there. If you don't draw 3D, draw some 2D cars. Then start using perspective to make the cars look more real. But start with basics. Doesn't have to be a fancy car. Just a car with some wheels, tires and a body. You wouldn't believe the amount of people who just jump right in to drawing detailed cars and having them not turn out right because they don't know how to draw tires or a square body properly. Just some of the things that come with practice, so get a pencil and paper, and started sketching.

Re: 98-02 camaro request

Duh!!! Fat-finger typo time sorry 'bout that HONU!!!

Like HONU said, start off with what you see.
Get a car magazine and start trying to draw the basic shapes.
Look for the rectangles, circles, squares and other shapes that
make up a car/truck.

Re: 98-02 camaro request

Lol, you must have some stupidly-fat-fingers, you did it twice

And you don't need to pick up a car magazine, just find an image on the computer xD

Old age, dying, lazy brain cells...HONU it all works against you when you're in my generation.

Why I remember back when we had to draw with burnt wood on tree bark.

Back to topic.
Any image source will work, being ol' school I just think paper before keyboard.
Anyways just practice, practice, practice...

...that's the only "magic" tool I know of for getting better.

Re: 98-02 camaro request

Haha, so tell me, what was it like when you first discovered fire? Must have been pretty scary for you cavemen. xD

Work at it, don't give up after 1 or 2 drawings that don't end up the way you want. It takes... dare I say... practice.
