2006 Honda Civic 1/18 Review

2006 Honda Civic 1/18 by CM Models
Price paid~ $59.99 (fair price I guess)
Well, I thought I was going to pass this one but after drooling over the pics on the net I decided to pull the trigger a week ago. First of all let me say this is a Very HEAVY model! It is as at least as heavy, if not heavier than most of my Kyosho models, and it is definitely heavier than all of my Autoart models, with the exception of maybe the Maybach 57. Secondly this model contains quite a few features that you wouldn't normally see on other models (adjustable sideview mirrors, opening cockpit, sunroof etc.). The exterior is pretty good, with the exception of one minor flaw- the taillights are not well lined up. As far as the interior goes, the floor is carpeted and has a lot of details but, I would say the overall finish is still not quite the level of Kyosho or Autoart, very close, but not quite there yet. Overall, I am very pleased with this model! The shutlines of all doors are pretty tight (especially the front doors) and both the hood and truck can be opened easily and they would STAY UP (can't say the same with many of my Aa models) If not for the minor flaw on the exterior and slightly inferior interior finish, I felt it is a even better model than (no I am not joking) than most of my Kyosho/Autoart models. So yeah, as it is I would say it's pretty much on par with those companies.
Now ^_^........ the pics,

Could you snap a sharp picture of the interior?

Here ya go AMNES...

For better pics/photos you could search 'CM Models' on google or yahoo, there is an extensive review of this model with perfect pics...

Legolas, you could always try eBay if you want to, but the shipping cost could be ridiculously low though

yeah I actually meant it would be quite high. But really the easiest way to get this model is via eBay (unless you want to travel to China of course) lol.....

Hey nosliw, welcome back! i really thought you've ventured into other hobbies or something since havent seen you here for a loooong time
Anyway, by 'opening cockpit' I just meant that there is a small opening compartment in the trunk (the blurry pic above the pic of three models).
I actually purchased this model over eBay..... I am pretty sure you can get this a lot cheaper if you buy it in China though. But if you don't plan to go there, then I think eBay is the easiest place to get it as I don't think it's available elsewhere ( for U.S.) yet. The sunroof does open slightly, but it doesn't really 'go back' as you said. There is also a sliding cover underneath the sunroof though. This is really a pretty nice model, so yeah if you like Hondas you will love it!

Well yeah, I agree that sometimes it is a little *cough* cold here that no one seems to bother to post. I don't post here everyday either, but I do post here regularly (sometimes a few times per month, somtimes more). Anyway, just post when you can, we'd love to see more pics of your collection if you don't mind. And it's okay to post even if you don't get anything new, just post like comments or ideas or whatever.... ( I only got 2 models in the last 3 months or so, but my post count has gone up by what? 100? lol). So just post something when you can!

Thanks mate! I understand what you mean but, personally, I like the styling of this new civic. Then again, I am a little biased

What other models do CM make? I think I might have to look into them.
