bad idle!! really bad idle (88 13b rx7 non turbo)

i just bought a 88 rx7 13b non turbo but it idles like crap!! the guy said it needed a tune up. but is that why it shuts off? and i have to keep my foot on the gas for it to not shut off or is it something else? also when the car is cold and i start it. it revs fine but when it gets warm it struggles and low rpm like at 1500 to 3800 rpms but once it passes 4000 rpm thecar gets its power back. why is this happening? is it bad? plese let me know i dont know much about rotary engines and would like to learn. thanks.

tune up is probably not a bad idea, or at least a new o2 sensor and sparkplugs...

hmmm no power between 1500-3800 rpms then power after 4k?

coincidentally the secondary injectors kick in around 3800-4000 rpms so maybe its an injector issue. Can you hear them working? Maybe check to see if the wires to the primaries are still good and in the worst case check the injectors themselves
