Honda Civic 89 Misfiring - Where to begin??

Hey guys,
I got a Honda Civic 89 that's most likely misfiring. It really vibrates at idle, and every once in awhile (always in cooler weather) the engine has trouble making the car to start moving.
This happens when:
the weather is extra cool or humid (when it rains!)
The engine is still cold
When I give gas to start moving from a stopped position.

I was going to start by checking the spark plugs wires, but i'm no pro so maybe one of you can give me good hints as to what is most likely the problem
Thanks so much

Start with regular maintenance items: wires, distributor cap...
If it is 89 you probably have regular spark plugs. Change them as well.

If you suspect missing at idle, loosen all the wires at the cap while not
running. Then start it and using gloves and an insulated pair of pliars pull
one wire at a time, it should lower the idle or even stop the running.
If you pull one and it makes no difference you've found your miss.
At that point switch the wire with a different cylinder, and test again.
If the miss is now where you switched the wire to then the wire is bad.
If the miss is still at the same cylinder, check the plug and
dist. cap inside for that plug.
You can also hook up a timing light to each wire and watch it flash
to isolate the missing cylinder.
