1999 escort. i bought it recently. has 96,000 miles with 5 or 6 owners . i don,t know when timing belt was changed. but there is a slash of white paint on the side and the top of the timing belt cover. could this be some sign. for example = salvage yards in this area do it when they sell certain parts for indentity.
