Help with prep for Headers
Hello Everyone
I have a question about the way you might prep your headers for primer and painting. The ones I am working on are two piece headers for the B192 Do you glue then together first then fill the seem where they went together with some putty? Or do you prime then paint then glue them together. What’s your method? Thanks Dave

Re: Help with prep for Headers
Method depends on the header design.
If you can assemble and fill any seams, sink marks or ejector pin marks before you prime and paint, then it's a good idea to do so.

Re: Help with prep for Headers
I'm building the b192 as well and I found that once you've glued the headers to the engine and the
engine to the black substrate, it's hard to see the seems anyway. Filling, sanding, priming & painting would be the correct order depending on how perfect you want this. |
