One of the low beam headlights will not work unless you tap on the lense. you had to tap on the lense everytime you start the vehicle. Any advice?
I had to replace the wiper motor on my 97 Silverado and now the "at rest" position of my wiper blades is 6-8" above their normal rest position. Advice?? thanks gaboy54 |

Re: 97 Silverado headlight and wiper problem
Headlight- have you tried replacing the bulb? Wiper motor - you need to make sure that the wipers are parked, disconnect the neg. batt. cable, pull the motor, disconnect the wiper linkage, manually move the wiper arms down to the correct park possition and then hook the wiper linkage back to the motor. If that doesn't work try taking the arms off and repositioning them, if that doesn't work then the wiper motor has the wrong park position and needs replaced.
