heated miror not working well
2002 SE-R with manual trans
I drove to work this morning...right hand mirror works like a charm, defrosted in about 2 minutes...the left one took about 15-20 on full defrost... all motors work well in them..it could have a little more frost on it but still... gf said right hand mirror (passenger) was warm when she touched it and the left one wasnt putting out heat worth beans....could it be a heating element on its way out? if its working i cant see it being a fuse..it just takes forever...either that or its not working and just driving defrosted it over time... any ideas? |

Re: heated miror not working well
all se-r/specv have them, at least those in canada anyways.not sure about USA ones...
double checked it, left doesnt work, right one works great...frost in morning or moisture, turn it to defrost and right one clears up in seconds, left one wont defrost at all ![]() im taking my car into mechanic about prices on new rear rotors (badly scored, will get new ones in spring, all pads are fine) and ill ask him about it, im sure he can fix it for about 10-20 bucks...i could pull it out myself but i dunno what would be the problem... i have the entire 2002 SE-R/SPECV manual so i guess ill browse through there when im bored and see what i can find.... |

Re: heated miror not working well
well, to follow logically, the mirror has to have a switch, relay, and some sort of coil assembly. thats about it. oh and possibly a fuse of sorts. time to break out the ol' DVOM.
