never thought id do this lol

well i got an offer i had to take on my dsm the other day, i sold it for 7 grand which i think was a freakin deal. i had about 50 k on a motor i swapped out of a gst back in the day that was totalled from behind had it ripped out and transplated into mine...the body had like 150k... so heres the game plan looking for a gsx AWD cant wait im actually looking at a gsx for 8.5 with a brand new tranny and 80k orig miles....i was also looking into vr4's but they weigh alot idk i think the gsx is cheaper to get more power out of and im still getting my 50 trim so ill have an awd 50 tirm which should be siick! anyways any in put on vr4's would be appriciated.. peace guys

edit -its a 98 gsx black on black (leather) its reallly clean inside and out

If you have the money to mod vr4's then I would go that route... They are wickedly fast cars when built but like I said, it takes a lot of money. DSM's, well... They are cheap to mod and have the same power output... Hmmm. Scratch my first thought. DSM FTW. lol

8.5k seems a bit steep for a gsx with that many miles.

What year GSX is really the question. If it's a 99, I'd say go for it, if it's a 95 I'd say hellll no. For. 8.5k I wouldn't get anything older than a MINT 97.

Re: never thought id do this lol

Nice man. Go for that car man, black 98 GSX's are the shit plus 80k is pretty low milage. If hes asking 8500, offer him 8000 and even so, 8500 isnt a bad price IMO. Like 9 months ago, the cheapest 98-99 GSX with less than 100k miles I ever found was over 10 grand.

Oh yeah, VR4 FTG. I dont like those at all, think a 4g63 is hard to work on? Wait until you see that massive clusterfuck of engine bay. Whew. Plus they are heavy as hell. Definately hit up that GSX man, or get yourself a 1g.

Re: never thought id do this lol

They must have swapped in the black seats and trim, because I thought that was only offered on the 99's. I would go for it, you won't find many good condition 2g's anymore they are all beat to fuck.
