What year Cutlass?

I was looking at a 1968 Olds Cutlass for sale and I really like the body style. The car is a little too much for me, so I was thinking about looking for another year with that body style for cheaper. What years did that body style exist? I want to say '68-'72, but I can't be sure.

That is correct.

Generally, no one year is cheaper than another, although the '71 and '72 models are worth slightly less, mostly because the lower compression engines for these years cut power slightly.

Keep in mind the options, driveline and overall condition are much more important to determine value.

The convertibles and 442 models are worth the most. Base models and 4 doors are worth the least.

The base engine was a 350 V8 with a 2 barrel, but you could special - order a Chevy 6 cyl engine in these cars. Dispite their rarity, I think a 6 cyl. Cutlass is not worth much.

Re: What year Cutlass?

68-69 only. 70-72 were totally different just like all other GM A body cars

I say your best bet would be something that needs a little work. It acutally isn't that bad finding parts. Find something that needs work and find the parts to fix it. It could be a learning experience and a nice car.
