2001 Bravada radio problem

You can hear a crackling sound while listening to the radio & it only does it with the radio on. Put a cd or tape in & you don't hear it. Also some times after starting the car the radio is off & have to hit the power button twice to get it on even though i left it on the last time i drove somewhere.
