Steering Wheel Replacement

I don't know if anyone has ever asked this question and there are way to many threads for me to seach through to check. But, has anyone ever changed the steering wheel on your car that is equiped with an airbag. I know that if a car is equiped with one that you are not suppose to dismantle it. But, there is no law requiring you to replace it if it has been activated in a wreck. My thinking is that what they don't know won't hurt them. All I would need to say is that the car's airbag was discharged before I bought it.

All that aside, I would like to change the steering wheel on my GS-R. I am just wondering if anyone has done it and if you can help me. Let me know what you did with the cruise control switches and if anything special needs to be done to keep the SRS light from coming on.
