99 saturn "Service Engine Soon" light
I drive 99 saturn SL1. It has travelled 110000 miles. After driving about 200-250 miles, "Service Engine Soon" light turns on. After driving about 25 miles, the light goes off. It has happened 4 times. Please suggest/ advise to solve
this problem. Thanks. |

Re: 99 saturn "Service Engine Soon" light
You need to retrieve the trouble codes with an OBDII scan tool. You can usually get it scanned for free at the bigger chain auto parts stores. After you get it scanned, post the results here.
There is no way to tell whats wrong without knowing the trouble codes. |

Yea, get it scanned. But my best guess, which is worthless without more info, would be oxygen sensors. Again, worthless guess, but I have seen them do that before so what the heck, I'll throw it out there.

Don't forget to check the fuel cap

Yep, a loose gas cap will throw a code.
