Cool SLK...might stand for slick? You decide!

Okay P-Man, this one's just for you. Tamiya's SLK done to "celebrate" the Mercedes logo (I wouldn't do this today!).

Rims are by Pegasus. Sometimes I like this look, sometimes I loathe it. Sometimes I want the AMG version, then I remember it's a Fujimi.

The interior is where this model comes together. I fully paint detailed it, and the upholstery pattern was computer generated and laser printed onto clear decal film, applied, and then the seats sprayed w/dull clear.

I like the look of the white gauges, chrome rings and carbon fiber center stack on the early SLK's that I added those details to my 1:1 Miata, sure dressed up a formerly very stark black interior.

I see "3 spokes" again..lol...j/k

The model looks sweet...the inside looks good how you have done the detail work.
The SLK i built by Fujimi was a real let down...parts did not fit well and the whole car just looked "all wrong"

Unhappy how professional

Well Zoom , So that was the tip for to make as well the orange Miata upholstery? Print the pattern you want on decal paper? Is that available in normal shops ? Where do you get it actually?, If I can ask.

Good job the SLK , very clean and also nice instrument panel.

The Miata decals were the same style, but they are commercially available from Scale Motorsports in hobby shops or online. They also set up at a number of model shows in the US.

The decal paper is available in larger hobby shops, there is also "toner transfer" paper that works w/a laser printer. I got it from a mail order place in the states called Digikey. Don't know but I suspect they have a website.

Thanks for the comments my friend.

Question Leather??

I assume that you're not talking about the SLK interior (it has an automatic gearshift). If you're referring to the bottom pic, that's my real car, not a model. Haven't made a model of it yet:

I was saying how the white gauges/chrome/carbon fiber stuff in an SLK looked so good that I added those features to my real car, and I had a picture of it to refer to. Sorry to confuse!
