Vehicle Tax Write-offs
I couldn't think of anywhere else to put this. I have been working at a job for the past 6 months that requires me to use my personal vehicle. I didn't have a practical vehicle, so... I bought one. The vehicle has been used 90% of the time for work. My question is, when I go to write it off on my taxes, does the purchase amount apply or do I receive reimbursement for milage only? I couldn't seem to find it on the net for some reason. Oh and the vehicle was paid in full, there is no lein on it.

Re: Vehicle Tax Write-offs
I think you can only claim mileage. You can get more info here: www.irs.gov
