Re: Grill Guard ?????
Probably not without modification if at all. '98 is the start of what most ppl consider 2nd gen. The body is quite a bit different then the pre '98 1st gens.

Re: Grill Guard ?????
I don't think so. I have the '97 year, park close to a 98yr at work - front ends are completely different.
How much you looking to spend and where are you located - I have a 2yr old Manik Brush-guard in immaculant shape on my '97 that if the price is right, might be interested in selling. I live in Colorado - and with the mild off-roading we do in this truck, it's actually dangerous to have it on the truck.

Re: Grill Guard ?????
96-97 were odd-ball years in the front-end; so they may be hard to come by. The one off from my '91 Rodeo wouldn't fit my '97 even though they were both 1st generation Rodeos; so you may have to look specifically for a 95.5-97yr brush-guard.
It took me 5yrs to find one, when I went and looked at it, it was all rusted out - finally gave up & bought one from the dealer on sale for $300. 2yrs after that, was cut off and rear-ended a jeep cherokee - by-by pushbar along with quarter panels, front bumper. There was no mechanical damage, however I do believe the brush-guard actually CAUSED the majority of the sheet metal damage. Took the truck to good body-shop friend, before I knew it, the insurance company alloted for a new brush-guard and he'd already had it mounted - otherwise, I would NOT have put one back on. If you want a bumper/guard that actually does some good in protecting the vehicle, you need to get an ARB bumper/guard - had I known better at the time of repairs, this is what I would've asked as a replacement. Mine is only on the truck to hold my fog-lights, and basically because I can't even GIVE it away; nobody really wants them anymore - at least not on the Rodeo scene.
