flashing check engine light on 99 mgm
Hi,
I just bought my in-laws with 76,000 miles. This weekend the Check engine light was flashing (not solid) and would go out for a while and then come back on. I looked in the manual and it says to drive moderatly and have it checked out at the dealer (can you say $$$$). There is a rotten egg smell coming out the exhaust and it is running rough. I just replaced the PCV valve. I have not had the codes looked at yet. Any ideas or recommendations? Thanks in advance for you help!! John Cmarik |

Rotten-egg smell often indicates a catalytic convertor problem. Check the codes and see what they tell you.
