Re: Inspection time!!!! Exhaust work!!!

you don't nessesarly need a cat back for good performance. gibson is a good system and doesn't make your tuck sound like a ricer but its just not worth the cost. just get a good flowing muffler like a dynomax, ravin, vortex, or flow pro.

Re: Inspection time!!!! Exhaust work!!!

How big is the hole? I wonder if that Mend a Muffler stuff would work. I don't know if the inspection station would have any reason to fail it (legality.) I never used it but I might have to try it for my car inspection next month.

Re: Inspection time!!!! Exhaust work!!!

dynomax and gibson will give u a nice growl but not too loud were as a ravin Z55, flow pro, vortex, or flowmaster will be a louder, aggressive sound. the bigger pipe has really no effect on the sound and is not really nessesary for nice performance gains. you will need some pipe to make up for the difference in muffler size (most aftermarket mufflers will be about half the size of the stock one).
