when the kid at my school thought it would be a good idea to floor it through the turn out of the parking lot in his brand new WS6 TA, and slid the rear end into a curb, breaking the rear axle off underneath the car and folding the left rear tire underneath as well.

hahaha the thing still had dealer tags.

oh wait, that was real life

Absolutley the best scene to do with vehicles - ever!

I beg to differ.......

Smokey & The Bandit 2...AWFUL FILM,but for one scene....

the mass destruction of patrol cars by big rigs....

Favourite line...Cop jumps out of burning car,Burt Reynolds pulls up beside him,and says..

'excuse me officer, your ass is on fire...just thought you might like to know......'

Comedic:
Mr Bean sequences involving the yellow mini
The Blondini scenes in Goodbye Pork Pie

Car Chase:
It's a three-way tie between Mad Max 2 - oh I dunno either the 5 minutes at the beginning and the last 30 minutes (ie on the rig), Steve McQueen in Bullitt and of course, the whole climatic sequence in the Italian Job...

Best Car Race Sequence:
Has to be Le Mans - from the wristwatch shot counting down, heartbeat countdown, the art of chaos start, the huge slow motion crashes, in-car shots of drivers, cameras mounted on cars... every shot that has ever been cliched came from this movie (before this movie most car race scenes were shot static ie with a car in a studio with a projected background).

A close second is Rendezvous in Paris - 20 minutes of the most insane driving through a waking Paris with one in-car shot throughout. Look for the scene with the baker...

While that would be an excellent choice, I'm afraid it will only come up second best

I also liked Blues brothers for this category, but since it's been taken, I'll have to go with Fast and the Fu... er... Just kidding.

I really liked the big car chase in Ronin... I think they were in Paris?

blue brothers is the only logical choice the patrol cars get mashed on the road into chicago

they get mashed in chicago

and the Neo Nazi's get dropped from 2000ft that has to be the funniest bit they just get higher and higher

"It's 500 miles to chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses"
"Hit it!"

that film is one of the best but Basil Fawlty fighting a moris minor is pretty hilarious too.

Jeez... You all keep quoting that movie wrong!

Elwood - "It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses"

Jake - "Hit it!"
