Anyone else seen an Aston Martin Vanquish? I just saw one near Middlesbrough (north east england) so I chased it! I only passed my test a week ago and i got a Fiesta so it was quite difficult to keep up!! Followed him for about 8 miles though along some quick country roads, it was great fun we were doing about 90 sometimes! These are pretty exclusive even in England i just wondered if anyone else had seen or even heard of one??

I saw not a Vanquish, but a DB7 Vantage on Tuesday. It was parked near my equipment truck in the Weston Shopping Center parking lot. I was lucky enough to be standing there when the owner returned, confirmed for me that it is indeed a V12 underhood, not a supercharged V8, and started it up and pulled out. It sounded absolutely amazing, and naturally, looked pretty damned nice too.
I've heard very few V12s, and I always wondered about the descriptions that I had typically heard, that they sound like a jet engine. Now I know that those descriptions are indeed true Even my co-worker, who was with me at the time, and who cares little about cars, couldn't deny how buttery smooth that engine sounded. |

I was 110% sure the 'regular' Vantage had a Inline 6 Supercharged, or did they drop that engine?

It first had a 3.2l six, then a 5.9l twelve in the Vantage.

Hi
I was following a Vantage this morning on the way to work up the A19 to Newcastle, awesome car and it had V12 OWN on the number plate. Unfortunately I was in my works van and as soon as there was a clear road it was off.
How come I never pull up behind something like this in my Vette, then we would see if it really had what it takes. Check out these mpegs. J. Pantera vs Vette At the Track 1 At the Track

Man, you guys are lucky. I consider myself lucky to see a Viper, new Mercedes, or anything other then the pieces of shit everyone has around here. I guess thats what I get for living in a shitty little town. Oh well, someday I will move to a nice place and post exciting threads on this forum. :flash:

Yup. I've seen a Vanquish in South Hampton Long Island. It was parked in a lot right on the water. What a sweet sight that was!
