Wheel bearings

Hey i just found out that i need new wheel bearings in the rear. How much do they cost and how hard is it to install?

they are not that hard to install, just make sure you have a large enough socket to get the center nut off, then use a screwdriver to pry the hub assembly off the trailing arm. You'll need to buy the wheel bearing hub assembly, i bought one of mine from NAPA for $90.00.

Remember when you tighten that bolt backs down , make sure the hubs still spins free....
try to tighten the nut back down to same spot on the retaining notch on the hub...

Shit only 90 bucks? Everyone told me its expensive! thats not bad from napa! So its not hard to install then i'm gonna do it myself!

First of all I don't believe you can just pull the hub out. Everything I've read has said you need a Hub Puller to pull it out and a press to press it back into the knuckle. Good luck doing that with just a screwdriver.

I know on my old CRX it took a shop about an hour and a half to put a rear bearing in it. The bearing cost me 75 bucks on hookup pricing. They charged me an hour labor to put it in ($60). I know that you have to bang the shit out of 4th gen civics to get bearings in and out. Anyone wanna come over and replace my front passenger one? Please? Ill throw in a case of Coronas...

Rear wheel bearing are much easier to do then the fronts, rears should come off wtih little or no problems. fronts are a different story....

are you guys talkin about the bearing that is like behind and under the hub in the front? i replaced a bearing up there but i forgot what it was called......
