Unhappy Switched cluster...Now wont run!

Heres a question for everyone! I picked up a guage cluster that had a tach in it. When i ripped everything apart and plugged the "tach" cluster in the car wouldnt start! So i removed the new cluster and threw the old cluster back in, and would still not start. I looked over every fuse on the car and it was all ok. The car just sits there and cranks trying to turn over, but there are no sparks coming off the sparkplugs. I dont know if I blew the computer in it or what but im freakin out I need someone to reply soon

Just a word of advice you guys probly melted your ecus if ya did not pull the positive cable during this install. And another note is dont believe everything you read you should always use 88-89 civic parts with 88-89 civic swaps and 90-91 civics the same. I have a buddy that did the same thing in his 90 hb dx with my 89 hb si cluster and he now has a new ecu because of this.

BTW a 90-91 tach cluster can be used in a 88-89 civic but there are a few wires that need to be changed and also with 88-89 to 90-91 but yes this could short your ecu if these mods where not preformed...sorry for the bad news guys

If anyone would have fried their computer, I would think I would have at least. I was just going through there connecting different wires together. I did fry one wire though, nothing major.

Sorry to hear that about your computer though guys.
