Talking 2000 Golf Auto trans deays from a stop

Hey folks,

2000 Golf at a stop trans netrals and does not smoothly engage takes a second. I had customer take it to VW first to test trans said all ok. No DTCs
monitored PIDs noticed very slight TP Delay and not always exact at stop between 0-4%. Vehicle has a cable and is not fly by wire. I am not jumping the gun to replace TP. I don't see why it rolls back in drive on very slight incline unless TP cannot be at 0 and has to be at least 1% I don't know.Any VW Wizards please help.

maybe problem with forward clutch and/or porous transmission case resulting in fluid pressure loss.

Please reword so we can understand what you are trying to say. Do you mean when you are at a stop and the car is put in nutral it takes some time when put into drive for it to actually go into drive? because that is normal

No. I got a little out of hand with data. It actually neutrals out at a stop and delays when you start from a stop. VW said trans was ok problem elsewhere.
