mudding with a 77

is it ok to take a 3/4 ton 77 chevy truck with 70 percent tread mudding?

um, probably not. unless you have it raised, with bigger tires, and drivetrain work its not ok.

depends on what youre doing lol i used to take my 2 wheel drive 73 c-10 into fields and just let er rip. it had posi though so that helped quite a bit

if its mostly flat land and is not aftermarket suspension then youll be fine no worries


if its really rough land then youll want at least quad shocks and double steering dampner and maybe trimmed fenders

i have a 77 also it is a cheyenne and totally stock original untouched 400 th350 208 dana44 and 12 bolt 3.07 and 31x10.50 it did have 33x12.50 i had to trim the fenders, it does just fine as is, but it is jut a K-10 unlike yours in which is a K-20 but then you didnt even say if its a K truck, heck it could be a C-20 for all i know, but even so a C-20 is hard to get stuck if it has truck tires on it, i have offroaded many 2wd trucks including a 69 f-100 and many chevy c-10's but mostly not in any mud, just rough land fields and woods and such, i got the f-100 stuck on a sand slope out at the sand and gravel place after hours once, right next to one of the lakes, found out real quick that you cant drive up a sand hill without 4wd after you just parked on it,,,
