Exhaust Flange to Manifold Broken!
97 200 SX E: Fired it up this AM to loud exhaust noise--turned out the pipe ABOVE the exhaust flange to manifold shroud/cat convertor broke!
Gonna try and weld it up, new exhaust manifold is big bucks! I dunno, busted clutch cable two weeks ago, now this out of the blue. My luck better improve with this thing. |

Re: Exhaust Flange to Manifold Broken!
probably a little. if you also get a 2.5" exhaust you will get more power out of the headers than with the stock exhaust also. id say your probably looking at around 7 or 8 hp from those two mods. the only thing with ebay headers...either fabricate a brace or get a flexpipe in your exhaust because they tend to crack faster than name brand higher quality stuff.

My Bro in law welded the flange back on. There was a small strip of pipeage there, been fine now, no leaks.
Thanks for the input to all! |
